Livery Design

Livery Design at a glance

The livery, or the graphic design elements applied to the exterior of a vehicle, is an important part of a race team. I’ve been happy to work with a few teams over the last few years to bring their cars to life and make a visual impact. My personal philosophy on livery design is that it needs to be noticeable and pop from a distance, but also have interesting detail that can only be appreciated up close. With that said, I always work with the client to understand what they want. Sometimes it’s certain colors, other times it’s a feeling we want to convey, something that’s difficult to express but they know it when they see it, other times the livery is fully designed already and they are just looking for someone to recreate it in CGI and bring it to life. In all circumstances, special care is taken with sponsor logos and script, or race series regulations (i.e. Porsche Carrera Cup North America) to ensure that the design follows their design language and requirements. I am not currently accepting new clients, but if you would like to be contacted in the future, please use the link below.

REMOVED FROM REALITY

REMOVED FROM REALITY

To keep the creativity flowing I will often create liveries with no basis in reality, it might be a modern vision of a vintage livery, or something altogether new. While these car manufacturers and the livery sponsors have not endorsed or sponsored these designs, I feel like it’s valuable to showcase.
